Yet, again, Lumley has amazed me! Just when I thought the story could not possibly get more fascinating than in Vamphyri; boy was I wrong! The Russians are at it again. This time, they have discovered a portal into a parallel dimension, a portal through which some horrible and deadly creatures have emerged. The catch British spy Jazz Simmons and send him through to the other side. This other universe is the homeland of the Wamphyri!
Harry Keogh, Necroscope, is searching far and wide for his wife and infant son, who seem to have vanished without a trace. He is called in by the British E-Branch to find out what happened to Jazz. Harry agrees to help them, with the hope that this alternate universe may give him some answers as to what happened to his wife and son. The end result is an awesome battle against man and Wamphyri in this strange land.
I was so engrossed in this book, and am excitedly waiting to read the next installment in the Necroscope series.
