This has got to be one of the best books I've read in a long time! I will have to admit that when I originally bought the book, the main reason was because Christopher is Anne Rice's son, but once I picked it up and started reading, that did not matter in the least. Christopher definitely stands out on his own as a literary force. A Density of Souls is a great read! From start to finish, I was on the edge of my seat, and one of the rare books that actually made me cry (at one point, it was actually balling).
It is a story of four childhood friends, whose lives basically drift apart once they start high school. However, their lives are strangely connected through a set of gruesome deaths that take place while they're in school. Years later, they find themselves drawn together again because of these deaths and the fact that one of them appears to be a murder. I highly recommend this book, it's one of my top 10 of all time!
